

Every position differs and using a statistically-validated test for ALL of these positions would only lead you to be inaccurate about choosing the best candidate that would be selected for the position.
The reason behind it is because of the different skills which you have to measure through tests and some standardized ones does not even have a grasp of yet. This is a great reason why this is included as the 6th common hiring mistakes:
First, they tend to focus on theories instead of facts, e.g., what facts or data prove that a high level of "self-confidence" guarantees a better employee. Second, they focus on attitudes, experience and abilities, not on skills. Skills are the critical elements that consistently predict job success.
I personally agree with this one. If the company has the budget and the willingness to spend money on tests that would really be suitable to positions, then the company should go ahead instead of just having one standardized test.
