Yes, resume screening is art because in order to be a master in this kind of thing, you need to know the basics. Of course there are a lot more convenient ways to screen resume nowadays and this includes websites, resume screening software, etc. Though that is the case, it does not mean that you have to forego a personal inspection.
In resume screening, there are basic things which you must focus on and these includes the following:
-Educational Background
-Work experience
-Past Functions
-Goals and objective
From these factors, you would be able to form possible questions which help you in determining if that person would be fit for an interview or if they have the qualities which would make them effective in their job.
