As I have mentioned in my previous blog post, there is growth in recruitment and there are certainly stages which you have to be familiar with in order for you to ascend in the next step. These stages are important because each stage has a purpose for the recruiter and the applicant itself.
Here are the main stages identified in this article:
-Identify vacancy
-Prepare job description and person specification
-Advertise
-Managing the response
-Short-listing
-Visits
-References
-Arrange interviews
-Conduct the interview
-Decision making
-Convey the decision
-Appointment action
From the first stage, your skill to identify "target selection" enables you to weed out qualified people from numerous number of applicants and also able to gauge if they would be perfect for the job itself. Of course, different approach and strategy are used in the recruitment and in order for you to be effective, you must first master the first step before moving forward.

Sometimes, I don't know what is more stressful for people in the HR department: having too many good applicants to choose from or having just enough applicants who aren't all that wonderful. It's not like all the qualified applicants only applied to your company either, right?
