One of the things that the recruitment department or the HR department should take particular notice is working with headhunters to have another source of available candidates. Along with every sourcing strategy, this kind of move also have its own advantages and disadvantages.
One advantage of working with Headhunters is that you would not waste time to screen candidates are qualified because Headhunters are already done with this process. When they were endorsed to the company, they were already screened and the chances of them being hired is almost 80%. This saves time and effort for the company's part. In the case that their endorsed candidate was hired but unable to finish the signed contract, the Headhunters are the ones who shoulder the job of replacing that candidate.
In terms of disadvantages, one thing that could be pointed out here is the cost of each candidate endorsed to the firm. The cost per hire here is rather expensive as compared to candidates from online sources or from the ads. Negotiating a fair price is rather crucial when dealing with this kind of transaction.
Whatever the case maybe, establishing a good relationship with headhunters would be favorable for each party.
