
Interviewing candidates is a crucial part in the selection process. Though it appears that you are just talking with the applicant, the things that you are talking about should be one of the factors which could help in deciding whether or not this applicant could be hired or not.
What are the things that recruiters should remember? Well, your interview sheet should be a guide or a basis for interviewers when conducting interviews. The questions stated in the interview sheet should be open-ended ones which means that applicants should not answer with a yes or no. If this happens, asking a follow-up question is required. As much as possible, candidates should be the ones talking and not the interviewers.
There should be also enough space for interviewers to write their observations and record the answers of candidates. This is crucial because it could be the deciding poing on whether or not the candidate could be eligible or not.
One thing that should be remembered is that asking the right questions during an interview is needed in order for the interview to go to the right path.
