Here's a great joke from deadpan comedian Steven Wright:
"Why is the alphabet in that order? Is it because of that song?"
Sometimes we do things because they mean something, which is very important. But, sometimes we think a thing means something because we do it a lot. How many creative ideas, thoughts, or opportunities come your way and you kybosh them because "it's not how we do things around here". How much more success could you be experiencing today if you distilled your activities and your life down to the things that really mean something to you, and concentrate on fulfilling and enhancing those? When your mind is free from those restrictions, more creativity, clarity and--yes--control.
After all, when was the last time you had an incredible, super-creative, put-the-world-on-its-ear idea after punching in a grueling 8-10 hour day at your desk doing "the same old thing" all day long?
