This one is a little interesting, since I am and outsourced recruiter. But, for the good of the community at-large, I'm passing along some snippets from a great article written by Kevin Wheeler, found at ERE today: Will Your In-House Recruiting Be Outsourced?
...If your goal is to not be outsourced, here are a few things that you will have to do to remain successful.
- Know What You Offer That Is Unique
- Learn to Build Internal Relationships
- Suggest Outsourcing When it Is Appropriate
- Improve Your Recruiting Processes
These are all good nuggets, which you'll have to read the whole article to appreciate. The rub? At first glance, these will all seem too common, too ordinary, and too common-sense.
If that's what you think when you see them, look closer. Afterall, most companies know they should be doing these things, but they hardly ever do.
