Free Money Finance Blog points us to An MSN article which poses the question about hiring someone based on experience versus education:
Put yourself in the shoes of a hiring manager considering two choices for a leadership role: Candidate A has a degree from a prestigious school but has never turned around a profit center, while candidate B launched a new division and made it an $80 million-a-year moneymaker.
Who would you hire?
For me, I think the answer is clear--'experience'. Afterall, someone with that kind of results in their resume has an incredible education--it just didn't all come from professors, textbooks, and multiple-choice test bubble-sheets.
